Chino Hills Community Information


The Chino Valley Unified School District serves the educational needs of local students. Recently, seven elementary schools, two junior high schools, and one high school within the district have the honor of being categorized as California Distinguished Schools, with Country Springs Elementary School also having the additional honor of being a National Blue Ribbon School. Alternative options for public education in Chino Hills include two charter schools (Oxford Preparatory Academy and Mirus Secondary School), and four parochial schools. The closest college campuses include Cal Poly Pomona and a satellite campus for Biola University.

Residents are fortunate to live in a community where the job market and local economy are strong, with many opportunities to work within the city prevalent. Further, with Chino Hills bounded by Los Angeles, Orange County and Riverside counties, residents have plenty of options when it comes to employment outside the area. Some of Chino Hills' top employers include the Chino Valley Unified School District, the City of Chino Hills, Lowe's, Costco, and the Chino Valley Independent Fire District, among others.

Chino Hills hosts a variety of events throughout the year, giving residents a chance to get together and catch up on the latest news and gossip in a fun, family-friendly setting. Some events and festivities that residents look forward to include the Spring Fling Horse Show, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Earth Day, Concerts in the Park, Movies in the Park, Old-Fashioned 4th of July Picnic, National Night Out, Chino Hills Day at the L.A. County Fair, Haunted Hike, Holiday Home Decorating Contest, Breakfast with Santa, Chino Hills Boat Parade, and Snow Day.
